Plot[]
A mysterious fireball crashes in the wood near St Hearts. Believing it to be a UFO, curious students swarm the crash site which turns out to be an enemy satellite with military base information from across Europe. Mr Grosse, a government agent in charge of the crash site, is revealed to be an impostor working for KORPS. The team must recover the satellite's black box before it falls into enemy hands.

- Area 5.1 is a parody of Area 51.
- The title is a parody of close encounters.
- Area 5.1 hasn't been seen as useful since the end of the Cold War.
- Although Tom is very sarcastic in this episode, he doesn't normally understand other's sarcastic remarks.
- Roly references ET.
- Goof: Despite St Hearts changing it's name recently from Bleakwood Academy, the map used by Area 5.1 reads St Hearts. Although it is possible that the map was redrawn after the renaming, it is also unlikely.
